Tables & field types — Attachment fields: files on the record

An Attachment field holds files — contracts on a deal, photos on an inspection, CVs on a candidate. Add files from anywhere the clip appears — click it in the grid, on a board or gallery card, in the record drawer or on the record page, and the same panel opens: every file listed, images previewed, download or remove, and one way in for new ones. You can drop files straight onto the cell or card instead. A greyed clip means no files yet, which is still the way to add the first. 10 MB per file, up to 10 files per field; tick One file only on the field if a second would be a mistake — a signed contract, a profile photo — and a new upload replaces the old one instead of piling up. Files are stored privately (Azure Blob storage in production) and downloads run through the same permission checks as everything else — a hidden field's files stay hidden. Executable file types are refused outright.
